Teenager Killed in Truck Accident on N. 16th Street in Boise, ID

Boise, ID — August 3, 2023, a teenager was killed as the result of a dump truck accident at 10:00 a.m. along North 16th Street.

Preliminary information about the accident was released by the Boise Police Department. Their statements at this time say that the collision occurred at the N. 16th and W. Washington Street intersection.

According to officials, a 16-year-old boy was on a skateboard crossing through the intersection. The teen was reportedly in a crosswalk at the time. While crossing, a dump truck allegedly ran a red light, hitting the teen skateboarder.

As a result of the collision, the teenager succumbed to fatal injuries. No one else appeared to have been hurt. There are no details at this time regarding whether or not the truck driver will face charges. This and other details are still under investigation.
