Paulino Damian Santana Killed in Tractor-trailer Accident in Brownsville, TX

Brownsville, TX — August 2, 2023, Paulino Damian Santana was killed due to a tractor-trailer accident at around 12:24 p.m. along Highway 4.

Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety say they were called to the crash scene in the area of the checkpoint which is said to be near Gavito Ranch Road.

According to initial details, 50-year-old Paulino Santana was in a tractor-trailer that was going eastbound along the highway. For reasons which cannot be confirmed at this time, the tractor-trailer lost control on a curve, resulting in the truck sliding and overturning.

Santana sustained fatal injuries as a result of the rollover crash. There did not appear to be any other passengers or vehicles involved in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
