UPDATE (August 8, 2023): According to information from Harris County officials, the victim killed in the crash was Morgan Pratka. No further information can be confirmed at this time.

Houston, TX — July 27, 2023, one person was fatally injured due to an 18-wheeler accident at around 12:15 p.m. along the Southwest Freeway.

Preliminary statements from officials indicate that crash took place along southbound lanes of I-69/U.S. 59 near the Beltway 8/Sam Houston interchange.

Right now, specifics about what led to the crash are unavailable. Authorities have reported only that the incident involved a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle colliding on southbound lanes of the interstate. As a result, one person sustained fatal injuries.
