Bianey Flores Killed, One Injured in Car Accident on Highway 45 in Travis County, TX

UPDATE (August 16, 2023): Further information from authorities identifies the teenager killed in the accident as 18-year-old Bianey Flores of Dale, Texas. The other driver, who has not been publicly identified, allegedly had a .19 BAC following the crash. It's unclear at this time if any official charges have been filed. Investigations are ongoing.

Travis County, TX — July 14, 2023, one person was killed and another was injured after a car accident that happened early Friday along Highway 45.

According to initial information released by Austin-Travis County EMS, the incident took place at around 2:00 a.m. near the Highway 45 and Turnersville Road intersection.

Current information about the crash itself remains unclear. Details at this time say only that two vehicles collided. This resulted in at least one of the vehicles catching fire and becoming "engulfed in flames".

Due to the accident, one person succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. Another person had to be flown to Dell Seton with injuries described as critical. Neither person has been identified at this time. Investigations into the cause of the crash are still ongoing.
