Joseph Isaac Ayala Killed, Victoria Marquez, Alfredo Villarreal Injured in Car Accident in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX — July 1, 2023, Joseph Isaac Ayala was killed and Victoria Marquez and Alfredo Villarreal were injured after a car accident on Loop 375.

Preliminary information provided by El Paso Police Department officials says that the crash took place at approximately 4:18 a.m. along Loop 375 near the Pellicano exit.

According to police statements, 37-year-old Joseph Isaac Ayala was in a Chevy Astro traveling along the loop. 32-year-old Victoria Marquez was in a Honda Accord, and 32-year-old Alfredo Villarreal was in a Nissan Titan. All vehicles were going the same direction when the Chevy and the Honda collided. This caused the Astro to spin around, following which the Titan crashed head-on into the Chevy.

As a result of the collisions, Ayala ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries. Marquez and Villarreal were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Right now, authorities say that alcohol may be a factor, but further information and whether or not charges are pending requires continued investigations.
