Man Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Cooper Street in Arlington, TX

Arlington, TX — May 26, 2023, a man sustained injuries due to a semi-truck accident at around 6:20 a.m. along South Cooper Street.

Preliminary details surrounding the crash say that it happened in the area of the South Cooper Street and West Abram Street intersection.

According to initial statements from officials, a 27-year-old Arlington man was in a Toyota 4Runner that was reportedly going northbound on Cooper. Ahead, police say that a tractor-trailer was parked in the right lane of travel making deliveries to a nearby Valero station. The Toyota did not avoid the tractor-trailer crashing into the back of the trailer.

As a result of the collision, the Toyota driver sustained injuries said to be incapacitating. No one else was hurt. Authorities did not confirm any charges or citations, and they made no indication of whether or not the truck was parked legally or with its lights on. This and other information is pending further investigations.
