Kentucky Man Killed in Truck Accident on I-35 in Belton, TX

Belton, TX — May 25, 2023, a Kentucky man was killed following a semi-truck accident at around 9:50 p.m. along Interstate 35.

According to preliminary information about the fatal accident, it happened near mile marker 288 along southbound lanes of the interstate. It reportedly involved a 58-year-old Static, Kentucky man in a Volvo tractor-trailer. The victim has not been publicly named at this time.

For reasons which are not clear at this time, the Kentucky man's truck left its lane to the left where it then crashed with the median concrete barrier. Due to the collision, the driver was thrown from the vehicle into the roadway. That man ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries as a result of the crash.

It does not appear that there were other vehicles involved in the crash. Authorities have yet to confirm a cause for the crash, and additional details about the accident are not currently available.
