Alabama Man Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-10 in Holmes County, FL

Holmes County, FL — June 6, 2023, an Alabama man was killed as the result of a tractor-trailer accident at 11:30 p.m. along I-10.

According to preliminary information from the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash took place in the area of westbound I-10 mile marker 95.

Statements from officials said that a 68-year-old Mobile, Alabama man was in an SUV that was traveling along the inside lane of the interstate. While merging, the SUV and a tractor-trailer somehow collided. This sent the SUV into a guardrail, following which it overturned onto the median.

As a result of the crash, the Alabama man succumbed to fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, exact factors contributing to the crash remain unclear. Officials have not given any additional details about the incident.
