Three Killed in Asphalt Truck Accident on State Road 33 in Clermont, FL

Lake County, FL — June 9, 2023, three people were killed due to an asphalt truck accident at around 5:35 a.m. along State Road 33.

Preliminary details about the fatal crash say that it occurred in the area of the State Road 33 and Bakers Lane intersection.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved a red pickup truck as well as a commercial asphalt truck. However, the exact cause of the accident is not clear at this time. Photos of the scene show that the pickup had severe front-end damage.

Due to the collision, reports at this time say that three people sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Those victims have not been publicly identified. There is no information about other potential injuries. Authorities have yet to report any factors under investigation, and no further information can be confirmed at this time.
