Marco Herrera Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Fort Worth, TX

Fort Worth, TX — April 23, 2023, Marco Herrera was killed following a pedestrian accident just before midnight along the South Freeway.

Authorities released information about the accident, which they say happened at approximately 11:38 p.m. on I-35W near Seminary Drive. Departments involved included the Fort Worth Police Department as well as officials with Tarrant County.

According to officials, 41-year-old Marco Herrera was on foot and reportedly attempting to cross the freeway. Doing so, Herrera was struck by a southbound Chevy Silverado. A southbound Volkswagen Jetta then hit Herrera a second time. Due to the collision, Herrera succumbed to fatal injuries.

Details about the drivers are not entirely clear right now, but there is no current indication of pending charges or citations. There are no specific factors mentioned as part of the initial investigations. Additional details about the fatal accident are pending further investigations from officials.
