Joe Phillip Garza Killed in Car Accident on Loop 410 in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — May 14, 2023, Joe Phillip Garza was killed following a single-vehicle accident at around 2:15 a.m. along Loop 410.

According to initial details released by authorities, the crash took place in the area of U.S. Highway 181 along westbound lanes of Loop 410.

It appears that 49-year-old Joe Phillip Garza was in a Chevy Silverado traveling along Loop 410. Somehow, the vehicle went out of its lane where it then hit the railing along the bridge. Authorities say this caused the vehicle to ricochet and hit the railing again. It then reportedly went over the side of the barrier and went into the river below the highway.

As a result of the crash, Garza ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries. No others were said to have been involved in the crash. The cause of the accident has not yet been publicly confirmed.
