Yessenia Quintanilla Injured in 18-wheeler Accident in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX — May 23, 2023, Yessenia Quintanilla was injured following an 18-wheeler accident at 4:31 p.m. along Twelfth Street.

Investigators said in their statements that the incident took place at the intersection of West Twelfth Street and Tyler Street, which is in the Bishop Arts District area.

According to officials, 38-year-old Yessenia Quintanilla was in a Kia Forte traveling eastbound along Twelfth Street. An 18-wheeler was said to be going northbound along Tyler Street. Both vehicles were crossing through the intersection, but it's alleged that the 18-wheeler failed to yield when doing so. As a result, the two vehicles collided.

Due to the severity of the collision, Quintanilla sustained injuries believed to be incapacitating. The truck driver had no reported injuries. It appears no one else was involved in the crash. It can't be confirmed at this time if charges or citations were filed, and the exact cause of the accident remains unclear.
