Man Injured in Commercial Truck Accident on Cockrell Hill Road in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX — May 10, 2023, at least one person was injured following a commercial truck accident at around 2:45 p.m. along Cockrell Hill Road.

According to initial details about the crash, authorities say that the incident happened at the intersection of Cockrell Hill Road and Mint Way.

Authorities in their statements said that a 20-year-old man was driving a passenger vehicle northbound along Cockrell Hill Road. At the Miont Way intersection, authorities allege that a southbound 18-wheeler failed to yield the right of way while making a left turn. As a result, the passenger vehicle crashed into the side of the trailer.

Due to the collision, the driver of the passenger vehicle had reportedly incapacitating injuries. An 18-year-old in the same vehicle may have been hurt, but this wasn't confirmed. No other injuries were confirmed. At this time, additional details surrounding what caused the crash are unavailable.
