Peter Roberts Killed in Truck Accident in Harlem, NY

New York, NY — May 24, 2023, Peter Roberts was killed as the result of a commercial truck accident at around 10:35 a.m. along East 125th Street.

New York Police Department officials released details about the deadly collision, saying it occurred at the intersection of East 125th Street (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) and 3rd Avenue.

Right now, details are limited. Information suggests that 53-year-old Peter Roberts was walking at the time and attempted to cross the intersection. Traffic around Roberts apparently began to move while Roberts was still in the roadway. One of the vehicles, a commercial truck, ran over Roberts as he was crossing.

As a result of the incident, Roberts succumbed to fatal injuries. Reports do not list anyone else as being injured. The driver involved is not reported to be facing any citations or charges. It's unclear who exactly had the right of way at the time of the incident. Factors surrounding the accident are still under investigation.
