Tooele County, UT — May 25, 2023, one person was injured as the result of an 18-wheeler accident that happened early Thursday on Midvalley Highway.

Preliminary information released by the Utah Highway Patrol indicated that the crash happened before or around 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Parachute Lane and Midvalley Highway (Route 138/Route 179).

Authorities said in their reports that a driver was going eastbound along the highway at the time. At the Parachute Lane intersection, it appears an 18-wheeler turned off Parachute to go westbound. The trailer was across both lanes of traffic when the car crashed into the side of the 18-wheeler.
