Robert Kuhn Killed in Dump Truck Accident in Columbus County, NC

Columbus County, NC — May 18, 2023, Robert Kuhn was killed as the result of a dump truck accident that happened along Highway 905.

Preliminary details about the fatal wreck indicate that it happened before 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of NC-905 and Old Dothan Road. This appears to be just north of the South Carolina state line

According to authorities with the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident happened as 58-year-old Robert Kuhn was on a motorcycle that was going northbound on the highway. At Old Dothan Road, authorities allege that a dump truck over corrected while turning, and the dump truck went over the center line. This resulted in the truck crashing with the motorcycle.

As a result of the collision, Kuhn sustained fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, details suggest there may be charges pending for the truck driver. Additional details about this remain unclear.
