“C.G.” Injured in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident on Bissonnet Street in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — March 10, 2023, a child sustained injuries due to an alleged hit-and-run accident that happened along Bissonnet Street.

Details released by Harris County officials indicate that the incident took place at 8602 Bissonnet Street, which is by the fire station just off Bissonnet and Gessner.

According to information from authorities, a 10-year-old child, identified only as "C.G.," was walking and was on Bissonnet going toward the sidewalk. While doing so, a wintess said they saw a Mercedes strike the child. That vehicle then reportedly left the scene, but authorities say they have the driver's identity.

"C.G." was taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries, the condition of which at this time is unclear. Details from county officials show that there are pending charges against the driver for failure to stop and render aid. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
