Michelle Ortiz Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident in Port Isabel, TX

Port Isabel, TX — April 21, 2023, Michelle Ortiz sustained injuries as the result of a single-vehicle accident that happened at 8:34 a.m. on Highway 100.

Authorities in Cameron County said that the crash took place in the area of Highway 100 (East Queen Isabella Boulevard) and Garcia Street.

Investigators said that 29-year-old Michelle Ortiz was the driver of a Chevy Malibu that was traveling westbound along the highway. For reasons not currently confirmed, the vehicle lost control and veered off the right side of the road. There, the vehicle struck the curb and several objects before then overturning.

Ortiz was said to have incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash. No one else was said to have been involved in the wreck. Right now, the exact circumstances leading up to the single-vehicle accident are unclear pending further investigations.
