Woman Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on U.S. 20 in Lyme Township, OH

Huron County, OH — May 22, 2023, a woman sustained injuries as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 4:00 p.m. along U.S. Route 20.

Investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol were called out to the Lyme Township area at the intersection of U.S. Route 20 and State Route 4.

It appears that a 58-year-old woman from Willard was in a Buick that was traveling southbound along Route 4. At the intersection, a westbound semi-truck somehow crashed into the side of the woman's Buick.

After the crash, rescue teams were able to extricate the woman and transport her to a hospital. Her injuries weren't specified, but she was flown from the scene. The truck driver apparently was not injured. Right now, the exact factors surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
