William H. Cox Killed in Truck Accident in Pike County, AR

Pike County, AR — May 24, 2023, William Cox was fatally injured as the result of a commercial truck accident at around 10:06 a.m. along U.S. Highway 70.

Details from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety indicated that the incident happened in the area of Daisy, Arkansas.

According to state police officials, 76-year-old William Cox of Murfreesboro was in an International traveling eastbound along U.S. Highway 70. For reasons which are not apparent at this time, the truck "crossed both lanes" of traffic before then going off-road. There, the truck then flipped over and crashed into a structure.

Details in the police statements say that Cox was taken to UAMS in Little Rock, but his injuries ultimately proved fatal. No others were reportedly involved in the fatal wreck. Right now, the cause of the crash remains unclear pending further investigations.
