One Killed in Truck Accident on Route 7 in Ferrisburgh, VT

Ferrisburgh, VT — May 19, 2023, one person was killed in a collision with an 18-wheeler around 12 a.m. on Route 7 in Ferrisburgh.

Authorities report a passenger car was southbound while the semi-truck was northbound when the two vehicles collided head-on. the collision reportedly caused the passenger car to catch fire, and the fire then allegedly spread to the semi-truck.

The driver of the passenger vehicle suffered fatal injuries while the truck driver was reportedly uninjured.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident and they may be withholding the victim's name until the next of kin is notified.
