One Killed, Three Injured in Truck Accident on I-95 in St. Johns County, FL

St. Johns County, FL — May 17, 2023, one person was killed and three people were injured in a truck accident around 3:35 p.m. on I-95 in St. Johns County.

According to officials, a passenger car and a semi-truck were both southbound on I-95 near S.R. 207 when the passenger vehicle allegedly veered toward its driver's side, struck a guardrail, rebounded back into the highway, and was struck by the tractor-trailer. The semi-truck nose reportedly collided with the passenger side of the vehicle.

The adult in the front seat of the vehicle was reportedly killed in the accident. Sources report a medical helicopter and ambulances responded to the crash. Officials say the adult driver and two children in the back of the vehicle suffered injuries.

Authorities have not released what caused the accident nor how severe the injuries were.
