Charles Main Killed in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident in Tyler, TX

Tyler, TX — May 23, 2023, Charles Main was fatally injured due to an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 3:45 p.m. along Highway 31 W.

According to preliminary information about the fatal accident, authorities say the collision happened in the area of Highway 31 W. and Patton Lane.

Police officials reported that 55-year-old Charles Main was on a motorcycle that was traveling along the highway. For reasons which are not entirely clear at this time, the motorcycle and a pickup truck collided, throwing Main from the bike. Police allege that the pickup then left the scene of the accident.

Main ended up succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash. Police indicate that they identified and obtained a warrant for the pickup driver involved in the accident. That driver is said to be facing charges for accident causing serious bodily injury or death. Right now, additional details surrounding the crash cannot be confirmed without further information.
