Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident on Roosevelt Avenue in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — May 23, 2023, one person was seriously injured due to a motorcycle accident late Tuesday along Roosevelt Avenue.

Officials with the San Antonio Police Department reported that the incident happened at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Mission Road.

Authorities said in their initial statements that a man, believed to be in his 60s was riding a motorcycle along the southbound lanes of Roosevelt Avenue. At the intersection, the motorcycle crashed with a vehicle that was turning off Roosevelt onto Mission Road.

As a result of the collision, details suggest the motorcyclist sustained possibly life-threatening injuries, including a possible serious leg injury. The other driver had no reported injuries and remained at the scene to speak with police. Authorities mentioned looking into speed and alcohol, but no further details about the crash can be confirmed at this time.
