John Brown Killed in Bus, Semi-Truck Accident in Carbon County, WY

Carbon County, WY — May 17, 2023, John Brown sustained fatal injuries due to a commercial bus versus truck accident at around midnight along I-80.

Authorities with the Wyoming Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened just outside of Arlington, east of the Interstate 80 and Highway 13 intersection.

According to officials, 75-year-old John Brown of Louisiana was behind the wheel of a bus that was going eastbound along the interstate. Ahead of Brown, it appears that a semi-truck was going approximately 45 MPH for unspecified reasons. The bus then somehow crashed into that semi-truck.

Due to the collision, Brown was ejected from the bus and sustained fatal injuries. There were no other injuries mentioned in reports. Details such as mechanical issues and road conditions were not discussed in initial statements from the authorities. They have yet to release additional details about what caused the crash.
