Jason Isaac King, Kendrick Paul Waters Injured in Truck Accident in Sampson, NC

Sampson, NC — May 22, 2023, Jason King and Kendrick Waters were injured following a commercial truck accident at around 6:50 a.m. on U.S. 13.

Authorities reported that the crash happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 13 and Oak Grove Church Road.

According to officials, 30-year-old Jason King and 24-year-old Kendrick Waters were in a GMC truck that was going westbound along the highway at the time. At Oak Grove Church Road, police say that a tractor-trailer failed to yield, resulting in the tractor-trailer and the GMC truck colliding. Following this, a Nissan then crashed into the tractor-trailer.

As a result of the collision, King and Waters were said to have sustained severe injuries. The Nissan driver, identified as Gregory Scott McLamb, was reportedly not transported for injuries. Right now, authorities say that the tractor-trailer driver was charged for failure to yield. They did not provide any additional details.
