Ernest Molinar Injured in Alleged Intoxicated Driving Accident in Midland, TX

Midland, TX — March 11, 2023, Ernest Molinar sustained injuries following an alleged intoxicated driver accident at around 7:27 p.m. on Rankin Highway.

According to information provided by authorities, the crash took place in the area of the Rankin Highway (Highway 349) and County Road 114 intersection.

Preliminary statements say that 58-year-old Ernest Molinar was on a motorcycle that was traveling southbound along the highway. While approaching a turn, police say that a vehicle was following too closely and crashed into the back of Molinar's motorcycle.

Molinar had injuries following the crash which authorities indicate were incapacitating. The other driver apparently did not have injuries. Currently, there is information to suggest there were recommendations for the driver who hit Molinar to face a charge for intoxication assault. This and other details require further investigations to confirm.
