Israel Valdez Gomez Injured in Semi-Truck Accident in Copperas Cove, TX

Copperas Cove, TX — May 11, 2023, Israel Valdez Gomez was injured following an 18-wheeler accident that happened at around 8:00 a.m. along U.S. 190.

Authorities said that the incident happened in the area of U.S. Highway 190 and Farm-to-Market 2657. The intersection is on the south end of town and the Coryell County line.

Details from authorities suggest that 35-year-old Israel Valdez Gomez was in a Ford F-150 traveling westbound along the highway. Due to a series of events which cannot be confirmed at this time, the pickup and an oncoming tractor-trailer collided with each other.

Authorities reported that Gomez had injuries believed to be incapacitating. It appears no one else was in the pickup at the time of the crash. Authorities did not report any injuries for the semi driver. At this time, the factors leading up to the crash remain unconfirmed as further investigations are still pending. Authorities give no further public information at this time.
