Lisa Wong Nga, 3 Injured in Truck Accident in Childress, TX

Childress, TX — April 29, 2023, Lisa Wong Nga and possibly three others were injured after a semi-truck accident at around 6:28 p.m. along U.S. 287.

Investigators that responded to the scene said that the incident happened along U.S. 287/Avenue F near the intersection of 5th Street.

According to officials, 56-year-old Lisa Nga was in a Toyota Highlander that was going westbound along Avenue F. In a series of events not currently confirmed, the SUV and a semi-truck collided, causing the SUV to spin out into oncoming lanes.

It's not confirmed at this time if Nga had serious injuries due to the crash, and at least two others in the vehicle were in unspecified conditions. One person from the vehicle, said to be a 63-year-old woman, was apparently thrown from the Toyota and sustained incapacitating injuries due to the crash. The truck driver had no confirmed injuries.

Right now, the cause of the crash has not been officially determined.
