Juan Jasso Hernandez Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident on S. Sam Houston Tollway in Houston, TX 

Houston, TX — May 4, 2023, Juan Jasso Hernandez was killed in a single-vehicle accident around 8:09 p.m. on S. Sam Houston Tollway in Houston.

Officials report the victim was eastbound in the outer, right lane of S. Sam Houston Tollway in a GMC Sierra when he allegedly swerved sharply to the left in an attempt to avoid hitting a semi-truck. The maneuver purportedly sent the GMC Sierra across all lanes of traffic into the center concrete barrier and then into a metal light pole.

Mr. Hernandez suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
