One Injured in Car Vs. Building Accident on Dixie Boulevard in Odessa, TX

Odessa, TX — May 19, 2023, at least one person was injured following a car versus building accident early Friday on Dixie Boulevard.

Preliminary details released by the Odessa Fire Department indicated that the building involved was a residence just off the corner of Dixie Boulevard and 13th Street.

Right now, the exact circumstances leading to the crash are unclear. Details show that a passenger vehicle going along the roadway somehow crashed with another vehicle. This sent one of the vehicles off-road where it crashed into the residence.

As a result of the crash, one person involved was said to have minor injuries following the accident. EMS took them to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries were confirmed. It appears a fire broke out at the scene, but the flames were contained. The exact factors leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
