Jacob Lawrence Maple Killed in Truck Accident on Genoa Red Bluff Rd. in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — April 17, 2023, Jacob Lawrence Maple was killed in a truck accident around 3:19 p.m. on Genoa Red Bluff Rd. in Houston.

Authorities report the victim's motorcycle was westbound on Genoa Red Bluff Rd. approaching a section in the road that allows traffic to turn left into a private drive, about 200 ft east of Anthony Ln just before the accident. A Kenworth semi-truck was reportedly facing east on Genoa Red Bluff Rd. attempting a left-hand turn into that private driveway.

The motorcycle reportedly struck the back passenger side of the semi-trailer, just in front of the tires.

Mr. Lawrence was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash.

Police have not recommended any charges at this time, and they have not released any possible causes.
