Shae Valenzuela Killed, David Alexander Flores Injured in Alleged DWI Accident in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — May 6, 2023, Shae Valenzuela was killed and David Flores was injured after an alleged drunk driver accident 1:52 a.m. on Loop 1604.

Preliminary details given by authorities indicate that the crash took place in the area of the Loop 1604 and I-10 interchange.

According to officials, 21-year-old Shae Alexandra Valenzuela and 21-year-old David Alexander Flores were in a Chevy Camaro traveling southbound through the intersection. A pickup was going eastbound at the time when it apparently went through a red light. This caused the truck to crash into the side of the Camaro.

Due to the collision, Valenzuela succumbed to fatal injuries. Flores was said to have non-incapacitating injuries. The other driver apparently was not hurt. That driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. As such, reports suggest there may be pending charges for intoxication manslaughter. Investigations are ongoing.
