Worker Killed in Boom Lift, Truck on I-10 in Guadalupe, AZ

Guadalupe, AZ — May 18, 2023, a worker on a boom lift sustained fatal injuries as the result of a truck accident at around 1:30 a.m. along I-10.

According to initial statements from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash took place along westbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Guadalupe Road.

They said it was near a construction zone where a worker was on a boom lift. It appears that boom lift "came out of the closure" and proceeded to cross traffic lanes on the interstate. While doing so, a semi-truck somehow crashed into the boom lift.

As a result of the collision, the worker on the boom lift sustained fatal injuries. The victim has not been publicly identified. Reports say only that the man was a subcontractor doing work for Arizona DOT. No further information is available at this time.
