Police statements at this time say that a box truck was going northbound along the interstate when it may have experienced a tire blowout. This led to the box truck veering through the median barrier and going into southbound lanes. There, the box truck crashed into a pickup.

As a result of the collision, two people in the pickup sustained fatal injuries. Reports have not yet identified the victims. Two others in the box truck were apparently injured in the crash and taken to a hospital. An SUV was also involved, and there are conflicting reports on whether or not that driver had injuries following the accident.

Currently, no further information can be confirmed. Some reports indicate there may be charges pending, but investigations are still ongoing at this time.
