One Injured in Truck Accident on U.S. Hwy. 67 in Pecos County, TX

Pecos County, TX — April 28, 2023, one person was injured in a collision with an 18-wheeler around 5:55 a.m. on U.S. Hwy. 67 in Pecos County.

Sources report the victim's Chevy Silverado was northbound on U.S. Hwy. 67 entering the intersection with F.M. 11 when it collided with a westbound Ford F-350 and its trailer. The nose of the Silvverado reportedly struck the front driver-side corner of the trailer.

The collision purportedly sent both vehicles into a counter-clockwise spin. The Silverado came to a stop facing west on the west side of Hwy. 67 north of F.M. 11. The Ford and its trailer came to a stop facing south also on the west side of Hwy. 67 north of F.M. 11. but south of the disabled Silverado.

The Chevy Silverado driver was reportedly taken to a hospital with serious injuries while the two occupants in the Ford F-350 were reportedly uninjured.

F.M. 11 yields to U.S. Hwy. 66 so it is possible the Ford failed to obey a stop sign, but the cause of the crash has not been confirmed.
