One Killed in Truck Accident at Rt. 66 and Radio Rd. in El Reno, OK

El Reno, OK — May 10, 2023, one person was killed in a collision with a semi-truck around 12:40 p.m. at Route 66 and Radio Rd. in El Reno.

According to authorities, a sedan was traveling north on Radio Rd. passing through the intersection with Route 66 when it collided with an eastbound semi-truck. The sedan's nose reportedly struck the passenger side of the 18-wheeler.

The collision reportedly caused the semi-truck driver to lose control and the truck exited the road, drove into a ditch, and then caught fire.

The sedan's driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the accident scene. The truck driver may have possible injuries.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
