Pedestrian Injured in Car Accident on N. I-35 Service Road at 6 p.m. in Austin, TX

Austin, TX — February 6, 2023, a pedestrian was injured were struck by a car around 6:13 p.m. on the N. I-35 service road in Austin.

According to officials, the pedestrian was on a scooter in the designated pedestrian path, north of E. 4th St. and the N. I-35 service road, when they were struck by a northbound Ford Crown Victoria. The collision reportedly ejected the pedestrian from her scooter onto the nearby train tracks.

Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a hospital with purportedly serious injuries.

Reports indicate that the Ford may have experienced an issue with its brakes, but this is not confirmed. Hopefully, someone is further examining the Ford for this alleged defect.
