Myron Krull Killed in Truck Accident near Rock Rapids, IA

Rock Rapids, IA — May 17, 2023, Myron Krull was killed as the result of a tanker truck and tractor accident at 11:15 a.m. along 180th Street.

Authorities said that the crash took place in the Edna area, outside Rock Rapids and George.

It appears that 77-year-old Myron Krull was operating a tractor with a sprayer attachment along the westbound lane of 180th Street. According to officials, a tanker truck traveling the same direction attempted to pass the tractor. While doing so, the tanker somehow crashed with the tractor, causing the tractor to overturn in the ditch along the roadway.

As a result, Krull sustained ultimately fatal injuries. The driver of the tanker truck apparently did not sustain any injuries. Right now, there is no indication of charges or citations being considered. Conditions of the roadway at the time of the crash aren't clear at this time. Investigations into the exact cause of the crash are ongoing.
