Driver Killed in Two-Truck Accident on Route 77 in Bay County, FL

Bay County, FL — May 9, 2023, a truck driver was killed in a collision with another truck in the afternoon on Route 77 in Bay County.

According to officials, an 80-year-old man from Bonifay was approaching slowing/stopped traffic at the intersection with Hwy. 388, in a GMC truck, when his pickup truck allegedly rear-ended a Mack dump truck. The 80-year-old truck driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the accident scene.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
