Driver Injured in Single-Vehicle Truck Accident off of I-495 in Wilmington, DE

Wilmington, DE May 10, 2023, a truck driver was injured when his truck fell from Interstate 495 onto Governor Printz Blvd. around 8 a.m. in Wilmington.

Authorities believe the semi-truck was initially traveling on I-495 when it somehow fell off the highway and landed partially in the air on Governor Printz Blvd. While authorities have not confirmed any crash details, video footage of the crash scene shows a damaged guardrail on I-945 and damage to the driver's side of the truck cab and nose.

The driver was purportedly transported by ambulance to a hospital, but the severity of their injuries is currently unknown.
