Ivan Gonzalez Hernandez Killed, Randall Brawley Injured in Car Accident in Fort Worth, TX

Fort Worth, TX — May 7, 2023, Ivan Gonzalez Hernandez was killed and Randall Brawley was hurt due to a car accident at around 2:53 a.m. on the South Freeway.

Preliminary information about the accident has been released by Tarrant County and Fort Worth Police Department officials. Their statements say the incident happened along the 700 block of the South Freeway (I-35W), which is near Hattie Street/Pennsylvania Avenue.

Details from authorities say that there was a head-on collision along the northbound lanes of the freeway involving a Ford Fusion and a Ford Mustang. One of the vehicle was apparently traveling in the wrong direction. Due to the collision, reports say that one of the drivers, identified as 32-year-old Ivan Gonzalez Hernandez, sustained fatal "blunt force injuries" in the accident. Details identified the other driver as 33-year-old Randall Brawley, who reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries due to the crash.

There were early details about the crash suggesting there may have been arrest following the crash, but more recent reports do not reflect this. It's unclear which reports are more accurate. The factors leading up to the crash are still unconfirmed at this time.
