Brenden Atkins Injured in Car Accident in Bastrop County, TX

Bastrop County, TX — April 29, 2023, Brenden Atkins was injured as the result of a two-car accident at around noon along F.M. 1209.

Preliminary information about the crash has been released by authorities, who say the collision occurred at approximately 12:02 p.m. near mile marker 450 of Farm-to-Market 1209.

According to investigators, 32-year-old Brenden Micah Atkins was driving a Nissan Altima that was going southbound along F.M. 1209. It appears the Nissan was making a turn when a Ford pickup reportedly driven by Vazquez Jose De Paz crashed into the Nissan.

As a result of the collision, Atkins had injuries which appeared to be incapacitating, authorities say. It's unclear if De Paz had injuries. Conditions of the road and weather at the time of the crash were said to be clear. Right now, it cannot be confirmed what exact factors led to the crash. Additional details are pending further investigations.
