Vonniel Louis, 1 Injured in Car Accident on Washington Blvd. in Beaumont, TX

Initial details about the incident say that 29-year-old Vonniel Louis was in an Audi traveling westbound along Washington. Louis reportedly came to a stop at a traffic light. While waiting at the light, it appears that a Chevy Suburban did not slow down in time, crashing into the back of Louis's vehicle.

Louis had reportedly non-incapacitating injuries following the wreck, details suggest. Officials say the other driver, an unidentified 32-year-old man, also had apparently non-incapacitating injuries. That driver may have been drinking, authorities say, and there is indication of possible charges for intoxication assault against the Chevy driver. This and other details remain unconfirmed at this time.
