Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident along Beltway 8 in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — May 16, 2023, a man was killed following a pedestrian accident involving a Harris County deputy constable at around 6:00 a.m. off Beltway 8.

Preliminary information about the fatal accident says it happened along the Beltway service road (Sam Houston Parkway) in the area of the Hardy Toll Road.

It appears a Harris County deputy constable was in a vehicle traveling eastbound along the service road at the time. Details claim that a man was on the roadway and crossed into the path of the police vehicle. As a result, the vehicle struck the man.

That man sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. Officials currently only identify the man as someone possibly in his 20s or 30s. The officer had no reported injuries. Right now, additional circumstances surrounding the fatal incident are still under investigation.
