Michael Robertson Killed in Dump Truck Accident in Navasota, TX

Navasota, TX — May 14, 2023, Michael Robertson was fatally injured due to a dump truck accident at around 4:30 a.m. along Highway 6.

Initial details provided by Navasota Police Department officials indicate that the incident took place between the Highway 6 intersections with Highway 90 and Highway 105.

According to statements from police, they believe that 37-year-old Michael Robertson was on foot in the area of the Highway 6 lanes of travel for unclear reasons. While allegedly in the roadway, a dump truck driver swerved to avoid Robertson but hit him despite the attempt. The dump truck then overturned off the side of the road.

Robertson was found to be deceased at the scene of the accident. The truck driver was apparently treated for injuries described as minor. Right now, additional details surrounding the crash are unavailable. Investigations are ongoing.
