Child, Adult Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Windsor Road in Austin, TX

Austin, TX — May 12, 2023, a child and an adult were injured following a pedestrian accident at around 9:22 p.m. along Windsor Road.

Preliminary details about the incident indicated that it occurred off the corner of Windsor Road and Winsted Lane, just west of the MoPac Expressway.

The exact circumstances surrounding the accident are still unclear at this time. Authorities from the Austin-Travis County EMS said they were called to the area after a vehicle somehow struck two pedestrians along Windsor. The victims were said to be a child and an adult.

The child had to be taken to a local hospital, but their injuries were said to be non-life-threatening. The adult had reported injuries but apparently refused transport from the scene. It's unclear if anyone else was hurt.

Authorities did not offer an explanation for the collision. Details about the driver are unavailable. It's unclear who had the right-of-way, and there is not currently any mention of charges or citations.
