Scott Robert Edge Killed in Truck Accident in New York, NY

New York, NY — April 29, 2023, Scott Robert Edge sustained fatal injuries in a tractor-trailer accident at around 6:00 a.m. along Second Avenue.

According to information released by police officials, the incident happened in the area of the Second Avenue and East 82nd Street intersection in the Upper East Side.

It appears from these initial statements that 47-year-old Scott Robert Edge was walking at the time. Edge was reportedly walking in the area of the intersection when he and a commercial truck somehow crossed paths. This resulted in the truck hitting Edge.

As a result, Edge sustained what were apparently critical injuries. Details now say that Edge succumbed to those injuries on May 9. No other injuries were reported. Authorities say that the truck driver involved stayed at the scene of the accident. There are no reported charges or citations at this time. Details about who had the right-of-way or if the incident happened in a crosswalk are also unavailable. Investigations continue.
