One Injured in Truck Accident on Route 47 in McHenry County, IL

McHenry County, IL — May 6, 2023, one person was injured in a collision with an 18-wheeler around 3:47 p.m. on Route 47 in McHenry County.

Officials report the victim's Jeep Grand Cherokee was eastbound on O’Brien Rd. while the semi-truck and its trailer were northbound on Route 47. The Semi-truck nose reportedly struck the passenger side of the victims Jeep.

The Jeep driver suffered fatal injuries. Reports indicate authorities have not released why the victim's injuries were fatal.
