Man Injured in Hit-and-run Accident on Culebra Road in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — May 14, 2023, a man sustained injuries as the result of an apparent hit-and-run accident at around 10:30 p.m. on Culebra Road.

Details provided in local media show that the incident happened in the 300 block of Culebra Road, just off the corner of the Esmeralda Drive intersection.

It appears from initial investigations that a man was walking in the area. As he attempted to cross Culebra, officials say that a truck hit him in the middle lane. That truck then allegedly left the scene. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with injuries reported to be critical. The victim has not yet been publicly identified by authorities.

Details suggest some witnesses attempted to follow the suspect vehicle, but it's unclear if they were able to provide authorities with information that could lead to an arrest.
